Making Money with PLR Ebooks: 3 Ways to Succeed with Your Online Ebook Marketing Campaigns
Are you looking for ways to improve your internet-based business sales without spending a lot of cash to accomplish it? Do you wish to find ways how to make money with ebooks? Maybe it is then time for you to study this article about how to generate your own ebook using PLR (Private Label Rights) products.
What I mean by “e book” in this context is simply a type of electronic document that contains book-like contents. Just like ordinary books, the topic of an e book varies. Unlike a printed book, however, the e book can be instantly downloaded over the internet and then read on your own, or anyone else’s, computer.
If you are thinking about creating an ebook yourself, whether using PLR products or not, you should be careful to explore its business potential before actually starting to produce it. It is at this point in time that you may want to start considering PLR products: PLR articles, PLR ebooks, PLR videos, etc. The acronym “PLR” is short for Private Label Rights and it practically means a legal right to convert a given product (text, picture, video, etc.) into a final product that you can put your own name on, as an author.
My suggestion in the present article is that you may want to use private label rights e books as a starting point for your own e book project. There are actually many authors and writers who are making their ebooks this way, and it is fully legal to do so, assuming that you are very careful to read and follow the legal rights of the particular private label rights product you have acquired. In fact, many writers not only produce e books this way, but also use PLR articles to create large websites with many articles.
So how can you then make money on exploiting modified PLR ebooks? There are, of course, many ways to do that. But here are three strategies that may be of interest: (1) Sell the ebook on your website; (2) Give the ebook away for free when prospective customers opt-in to your newsletter email list. (3) Give the ebook away as a bonus when prospective customers buy other products from you.
1. Sell Your PLR Ebook and Make Money
The most natural idea is, perhaps, to just put your PLR ebook up for sale at your website. Depending on its size (is it 10 pages or 250?) and quality/uniqueness (how good is it in relation to your competitors’ products?), you may decide to give it a price of anything from $7 and upwards.
But don’t sell it too cheap (unless it is part of a multi-campaign, in which you are aiming to promote a much more expensive ebook or ecourse, etc.); customers do relate price to product image and quality.
2. Giving Your PLR E-book Away for Free
Another idea of making money with your ebooks may be to give away your ebook for free. Although this at first glance possibly might sound contradictory, it is not. One may give it out the ebook for free under certain conditions. One condition being, for example, that a visitor opts in to your email list first.
After being on your email list for a while, and after having read your free e-book, they will come to respect you as an expert. Then, when they encounter a product of yours that they actually can use, they will certainly buy. Remember though, that this can be a gradual process, and that all subscribers to your emailing list will not buy after only two or three emails.
3. Giving Your PLR Ebook Away as a Bonus
Another great way to use an ebook for is to present it as a bonus when you sell some other product. Note here, though, that some private label rights e books may not allow that you give them away as a bonus, even though you have thoroughly rewritten them. So please be careful with the licence of each particular PLR product: check it one more time, just to be sure!
The other product that you are promoting might be, for example, another e book, yours or someone else’s. Or it may be an ecourse, or some software program. Whatever the product may be, bonuses are a very important incentive to your potential customers; so your bonus ebook may be the difference between them buying or not buying your product.
Final Remarks
It is important to note that even if you buy a PLR product, you still have to put in a considerable amount of work to make it unique. Your aim should be to make it suit your customers’ needs as much as you can, while still making it fit in with your own set of products.
This practically means that modifying a PLR e-book is not just a matter of exchanging some synonyms here and there in the text. You may, for instance, need to modify or add, or both, many details in the text, including facts, figures, illustrations, reasons, arguments, questions, links, etc. This will ensure that your end product with be both unique and up to date, and a product that both you and the customer will be happy with.
